Undergraduate students from all institutions (both U.S. and foreign) are invited to apply to the LIGO Summer Undergraduate Research Program. Students in the JPL Space Grant program spend 10 weeks in the summer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Undergraduate or graduate US citizens enrolled full-time or accepted for full-time at a Space Grant-affiliated college or university are eligible. Students work under the direction of a NASA-sponsored planetary geology and geophysics investigator at one of various science institutions, including JPL. JPL Summer Internship Program (JPLSIP) California Institute of Technology Pasadena, CA =JPL Summer Internship Program (JPLSIP) California Institute of Technology The JPL Summer Internship Program offers 10-week, full-time, summer internship opportunities at JPL to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering or mathematics. As part of their internships, students are partnered with JPL scientists or engineers, who serve as the students' mentors. Students complete designated projects outlined by their mentors, gaining educational experience in their fields of study while also contributing to NASA and JPL missions and science. Participants are matched with a member of Stanford's distinguished faculty and work in one of our state-of-the-art research facilities. Each participant works with both a faculty member and a lab mentor to craft a research project. The lab environment provides challenging projects and involves a broad range of research techniques that are feasible within the nine-week period.
